Situated on the east of Szczecin Bay, only 16 km from the German border, 150 km from Berlin and 80 km from the sandy beaches of the Baltic See. Szczecin is a chief seaport of Pomerania and a sailing center with lakes and forests within the city limits ( Lake Dabie, Beech Forest ).
